Tottenham gave Juventus’ pursuit of defensive rock a huge boost; Arsenal are monitoring the Brazilian sensation

Tottenham have been given a huge boost in their pursuit of a Juventus veteran and the Italian centre-back Antonio Conte loves, while Friday’s Transfer Gossip claim Arsenal are plotting a move for a Brazilian sensation.

Juventus won’t stand in the way of Leonardo Bonucci, should the centre-back decide he wants to join Tottenham.

There have recently been reports of Antonio Conte wanting to reunite with the experienced defender, whom he worked with at Juve and in the Italian national team.

CalcioMercatoTV claims Bonucci’s relationship with Max Allegri is fading and the defender wants to leave.

The report adds that Bonucci is set to leave the club in January, news that is likely to irritate Juve supporters.

However, Sports Mediaset says the veteran is more likely to leave in the summer.

Bonucci’s current deal expires in the summer of 2024 which means Spurs will have to pay a fee to get their man.

Conte still wants to strengthen Tottenham’s defense

Conte is still looking for defensive recruits after failing to be convinced that his team is good enough defensively to play the brand of counter-attacking football he wants.

Cristian Romero, Eric Dier and Ben Davies all struggled in the 2-0 loss at Manchester United in midweek.

Indeed, seven of the 12 goals Tottenham have conceded in their 11 league appearances have come in massive games like Chelsea, Arsenal and United.

Spurs also remain on the hunt for Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig. And a former star is thinking of beating Chelsea to sign the Croatian. But only if Conte commits his future to the club.

Arsenal have sent scouts to monitor the highly valued prospect of Palmeiras Endrickaccording to reports.

The 16-year-old Brazilian has caught the attention of clubs across Europe with his performances this season.

However, the Brasileiro Serie A side could meet their £52.3m (€60m) release clause.

Endrick is currently under contract with Palmeiras until the summer of 2025.

Arsenal’s interest in the youngster stems from sporting director Edu’s ties to his homeland and their desire to bring in the best young talent from around the world.

However, the Gunners may need to use Edu’s links quickly. At least two European heavyweights want ex-Arsenal midfielder like their new transfer fixer.

Fabrizio Romano revealed on Wednesday that Edu’s performance backstage at the Emirates was attracting a lot of attention.

Mikel Arteta’s men top the Premier League table, four points clear of second-placed Manchester City.

Crystal Palace considering January move for Blackburn striker Ben Brereton Diaz.

Blackburn Rovers' Ben Brereton Diaz celebrates after scoring a goal to make it 0-1 during the Sky Bet Championship match between Derby County and Blackburn Rovers at Pride Park, Derby

The Chile international will become a free agent this summer and is being watched by a number of domestic and European clubs.

Leeds, Everton and Fulham all failed with late offers during the summer window. However, the LaLiga outfit Sevilla have now also become a major contender.

Brereton Diaz has shown no signs of a missed move hurting his form this season, scoring eight league goals so far. This makes him the top scorer in the second tier of English football.

The Rovers have also offered the 23-year-old a new contract, as reported in The sun. But a move to the Premier League or Spain will surely be too good to turn down, should Blackburn receive the right offer for the striker in January.
