Men’s squash captures third seed for upcoming NESCAC Championship

BRUNSWICK, Maine — Bowdoin College’s men’s squash team was seeded third and will receive a first-round bye to the upcoming NESCAC Championship scheduled for this weekend in Connecticut. Trinity and Wesleyan will host the championship which runs from February 4-6. First-round matches are scheduled to start at 6 p.m. on Friday, February 4 at both venues and the championship game is scheduled for 1 p.m. on February 6 at Trinity. Spectators are limited to people on team pass lists for games at Trinity and Wesleyan.

Bowdoin’s No. 3 seed is the highest in program history and the Polar Bears earn a first-round bye for the first time since 2013. The Polar Bears will face No. 6 Colby in the quarterfinals. . Bowdoin picked up an 8-1 win over the Mules on Jan. 19 and picked up his first win over Colby in the NESCAC Championship Series with a 5-4 win in the 2020 Quarterfinal Consolation Round. The Polars Bears finished fifth in the 2020 championship, their best result since 2014.
