Hofstra is 14-9 overall and 6-4 in the league following an 85-78 overtime win over James Madison on Saturday. It was the Aaron Estrad spectacle as the junior scored a career-high 35 points to lead Pride to victory. Graduate student Zach cooks added 16 points, while a sophomore Darlinstone Dubar contributed with 12.
UNCW enters Monday’s game with a 16-6 overall record and a 10-1 Colonial Athletic Association mark. The Seahawks beat William & Mary, 92-70, on Saturday behind 30 points from Mike Okauru.
Monday will be the 48th all-time meeting between Hofstra and UNCW along with all meetings since Pride joined CAA in 2001-02. UNCW captured the teams’ first meeting, 78-72, on Jan. 29 in North Carolina. Hofstra leads the series, 24-23, and won both meetings in Wilmington a season ago. Pride have won four of the last five and five of the last seven games between the teams.
