Kentucky PGA Junior Tour and Play Golf Lex will combine their respective junior championships
The Kentucky PGA Junior Tour and Lexington Parks & Recreation’s Play Golf Lex combine their renowned junior championships into one signature event.

Beginning with the 2022 edition, the Lexington Junior City Championship will be co-sanctioned by both organizations, merging the two tournaments into what will be one of Kentucky Junior Golf’s most prestigious trophies.
In previous years, the Lexington Kentucky PGA Junior Tour Junior Championship and the Play Golf Lex City Junior Championship have been held independently at different times during the golf season. Now they will be combined into one event, combining the prestige of each event while easing competition schedules for the players and their families involved.
Winners from all divisions will earn points that will count toward the Kentucky PGA Junior Tour Player of the Year rankings. Additionally, the top overall boy will earn a bye into the Play Golf Lex Men’s City Championship, with the top overall girl earning a spot in the Play Golf Lex Women’s City Championship.
The remodeled Lexington Junior City Championship will take place at Kearney Hill Golf Links from April 30-May 1, making it instantly one of the biggest youth golf events in the Commonwealth this spring.

The full 2022 Kentucky PGA Junior Tour schedule will be revealed on Monday, January 17.
