Edu said to negotiate triple deal as Newcastle face Arsenal for £ 40.5million Premier League striker – Tom Canton
Arsenal have several surplus players on the sidelines, including Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Rob Holding and Callum Chambers. Anyone who hasn’t made it into the first team this season or hasn’t played at all.
Newcastle will be a force to be reckoned with when challenging big money signings, like rumors of ties to Arsenal target Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
But would Newcastle be interested in Arsenal players who don’t watch the Emirates?
Arsenal Way presenter and writer Tom Canton (TC) spoke with editor-in-chief Hush Kerai (HK) on Friday morning. Arsenal Agenda Show to discuss the possibility …
TC: “Do you think Newcastle might be looking to get one of Arsenal’s surplus players?”
HK: “I hope so. But, I don’t think so. If we look at it, Maitland-Niles, I think we turned down an offer from West Brom and Wolves last January around the £ 20million mark. I think the possibility of Newcastle replacing him is probably very low.
âThe fact that we sold them Joe Willock and from what I can see he’s not having a good time. He kind of seems overwhelmed with the style of play. So I don’t see them going to Maitland Niles. .
âLikewise, Rob Holding has fallen out of favor a bit, as has Chambers. We haven’t seen them all play this season. Their stocks are slowly dwindling and I wouldn’t expect Newcastle to spend all of their money on players who can’t fit into our camp.
“I think they’re going to aim a little higher than that, personally.”
